CYDN offers customers fast and reliable Internet access through its network of centres located throughout Cape York. An email account is available to customers who open an Internet account. Customers can access their Internet and email accounts through computers situated at each CYDN location. Each CYDN centre computer has Microsoft Explorer to “surf” the net and other common applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Are you traveling with your WiFi laptop and looking to connect to the Internet? CYDN has HotSpot access for Internet browsing at all locations except Kowanyama and Cairns. By connecting to the CYDN public wireless facility customers can surf the Web. Customers need only to activate the wireless facility on their laptop, open the web browser and have a valid CYDN account to login. For more information on wireless access click here.

CYDN centres are networked via digital links to Cairns and connected to the Internet by broadband services. This provides our customers with fast Internet access.

CYDN maintains the quality of its computer facilities, by employing local staff at each centre and technical support via the CYDN Help Desk located in Cairns. The technical staff at our Help Desk monitor the network and remotely access computers to diagnose faults. This level of support ensures customers experience minimum disruption to service.

A centre co-ordinator is available to assist in the use of the computers and may assist customers in the use of certain applications.
